At risk in so far as society pulls the youth away from tradition. It's hard to stay on the Rez when little opportunity exists. I've always thought that the Dine' could capitalize big time on tourism with the beautiful and unique places they have. They encourage their youth to perpetuate the culture. Their language is taught at the college. They revere and respect their elders. The article you site is an example of the internal struggles the Navajo people have with themselves all the time.
