Hello everybody, years ago my father got an old indian gun scabbard from friends in USA. they were told that someone of their ancestors took it from away from a dead Indian on a battle field - reportedly Little bighorn :-o who can tell me more about it, its crow beaded buffalo hide, the pattern, its worth?

Your English is fine. Value would be in the wallet of the collector. You might want to connect with Heritage Auctions, Dallas TX they have a number of qualified appraisers. Welcome to the board. Others here might have a better answer or lead. Also, it might help if you had the name of the ancestor who took it from the dead Indian.

i'm sorry we don't have any names of anybody who was involved to its story :-(
the auction house is a great idea... unfortunatley they didnot answere me jet.
has anyone got more ideas?

Contact the battlefield. Ask for Gerald Jasmer... I believe he is the park historian. You can e-mail him at...

If nothing else, he may be able to tell you what you have and possibly where to go to have it appraised. Jasmer is very helpful. Tell him everything you know about it, then let us know, here, what you find out.
