I will probably be there on the 22nd, late in the day. I hope to see Fred in Winchester as I am leaving on my trek on the 12th. Have not made arrangement for stay, will probably camp. I understand Farel, Leraf, Chris, or whoever he is today, would like to go this year and hook up. I hope we can.
Regards, Tom

I only do what the voices tell me.
Tom, Budget is the single factor right now. Best, c.

Well if the voices tell you to take a horse, leave next week.

Does anyone know how to move this thread higher up so it appears in the category?

Does anyone know how to move this thread higher up so it appears in the category? Do you mean in the "Crow Agency and Battlefield News" block of threads? If so, I think only Diane can do that. Best wishes, Fred.

Was watching some re-enactment videos... one guy shot his finger off with a black-powder rifle and another guy had to have his legs amputated after getting run over by a wagon. Dedicated dudes.

We sometimes work traffic for the snowbowl. The accidents there are just as bad and worse. Dedicated skiers? The lodge is full of accident victims.
Life without risks is not fun to some people.

The guy with the shot off finger was still going 20+ years... don't know about the other guy.

Greg,
50 years ago I shot a hole in my jeans, during a quick draw contest at Frontier Town, in Ocean City MD. Thank goodness it was done with a blank. Nice smoking ring in blue denim, minor skin burn. Tools have no conscience. One must be careful, most accidents can be avoided!

I got hit by a .223 jacket that bounced off a steel plate. It felt like a baseball bat hitting my leg. I felt a piece of metal and pulled it out of my leg. It had penetrated over 1/2 inch. I saved it as a reminder to be safe at all times.
