Well Scott we are the only Rugby League Football team to play on a synthetic pitch, it’s called the I Pitch, but the rest of the rugby league world are still playing on turf which is not really a problem anymore because we have changed our season from winter to summer so that we don’t have to play in mud, snow and heavy rain, which I suppose makes no difference because it usually pisses down during our summer anyway. Ian. A synthetic pitch?Ohmygod...the last vestiges of western culture crumble before my eyes! Just kidding - I'm sure as with the synthetic turfs here it's far from playing in a parking lot. Do you by anychance play cricket?

In my youth I use to play the odd game on a Sunday, it was not a proper organised match or anything, just a gang of us on a playing field with the basic kit, batting I would come in about three or four in the order and my bowling was medium pace, and I mean medium.
Ian.

Dan: You can always tell the football fans that want to sneak out after communion. They back their cars into their parking spaces for a quick get away. Collection goes down though on big game days, but seems to pick up the next week if the home team wins. Can't quite figure that one out, but my Rector took the Seahawks and gave me seven points. I understand he gave away his Auburn sweat shirt a week or so ago.

I suppose DC will be happy his team made the final, I wonder how much the tickets are for the Super Bowl. Is it true they are as rare as rocking horse sh**?

Today's average 'list' price = $4,100 each

Thanks Gatewood.
That’s about £2.500, I suppose that the event is already sold out and the price for a ticket on EBay for instance would be considerably more.
Ian.

Whatever it is, I'd rather sit in my den and watch it for free. My wife is a big college women's basketball fan, and the national tournamet is going to be here in my city this spring, so I thought that I would treat her to going. That is until I found out that the tickets were about $1000.

It was pretty exciting. I'm glad Champ Bailey gets at least one SuperBowl. He was as good at his position as Peyton is at his, and his work ethic is right up there. He's late 30's and still running with the rabbits, as impressive as Manning being able to move and risk all after four neck surgeries involving the spinal column. Really impressed with.....Elway, as his picks in draft and free agency have literally all panned out, including the guys 'too old' or too low in the draft nobody else wanted, like Knighton, and he kept Moreno, who had been a wash for three seasons, and Ball, who fumbled too much, and a basketball player named Thomas who has become a tight end. Five players with more than 10 passing touchdowns plus a running game.
What's been greatest has been the team has gotten better and is peaking now. Five defensive starters lost and it's better than ever. If Miller were able, it would literally be a scary team. I don't think Seattle has much of a chance, nor will it be close.
If it holds together for next year, it could be undefeated. Nobody else is looking as good.

I have been to Giants games and the cold isn't the factor. Peyton has shown he can play in the cold. The problem is the wind. Payton is as accurate as any QB in the game, but he doesn't throw a tight spiral. You have to throw a tight spiral when dealing with the wind. Wilson is completely over-rated and I don't believe they count on him to win games. But the Broncos need Payton to win, if neither QB can throw and it becomes a ground and pound, Moreno is good but Lynch is a beast. It could be a lot closer than you think. Hope not, hope the Broncos run away with it, but that wind could be a big factor Be Well ........ Good Luck Dan

I am also glad that Champ Bailey will go to a Super Bowl. He was a quality player with the Skins, and has only added to his reputation with the Broncos.

However, as Benteen says the wind will be an issue and the game should be close. As for the Seahawks secondary, while maybe one of the best of the last 20 years, they won't be able to lock down all the weapons Denver has. Peyton should be judicious with his outs, work the middle, slants and digs. That could loosen deep balls later. Anyway good luck to all Bronco fans. I hope to toast two of the top 5 QB's of all time at the end(Elway and Manning).
Regards, Tom
