Has anyone seen a map of the battle, said to have been drawn by Rain In The Face on the back of a leather coat? Sorry Sherrpa, I've only just seen your post. A copy of the Rain map appears on page 152 of "Drawing Battle Lines" by Michael N. Donahue with the story of it on the following three pages. It was drawn on a buckskin coat as you say, at an interview with Rain at Coney Island on August 12 1894 conducted by W. Kent Thomas. Also present were E.E. McFadden and the interpreter Harry McLaughlin. The full interview appears in Chapter 7 of "Indian Fights and Fighters" by Cyrus T. Brady, together with a representation of the map and the coat it was drawn on. I hope this helps. "Hunk" Papa
