Dear LBHA Members, Please contact those Civil War or Custer historians who may have influence on Citizens Advisory Board for US Postal Service. The late Brian Pohanka and I put together a group of (20) "Unsung Heroes" of the Civil War to be released in 3 years during the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War. I sent it in to the US Post Office in DC last fall. The names include Chamberlain, Ely Parker, William Carney, George A. and Thomas W. Custer with two brave women along with Sgt. Strickland (Angel of Maryee's Heights) and many others. Chamberlain, Carney and T. Custer are MOH recipients. There are ten Federal and ten Confederate heroes honoring both sides. Its time for the true heroism of Custer to be honored and have American remember who he was and what he did during those four years. Brian was the heart of this project and a dear friend. He was a member of LBHA and a great Civil War historian. I wrote to Greg Urwin and Fred Chiaventone to make them aware. If you want to know more, please email me at boygeneral@verizon.net. S. Khalsa Civil War reenactor for 12 years former member of LBHA and CBMHA

Welcome, Soldiergirl...
Are you a real Soldier, as well as a reenactor?
Do you reenact as a Soldier, or as a "launderess?"
