For all of you out there who reenact/living history the Indian Wars time period. If you are like me and live on the East Coast, there are no events to attend that are local. Do you think there might be an interest in having a weekend get together for Indian Wars types? Maybe a semi-rural location where we can drill, skirmish, ride, or just sit around the campfire and chat. I'm thinking this would be open to all impressions: Indian, Cavalry, Civilian, Scout etc. What are your thoughts? R/S TopKick

Well, that's two in 9 months - doesn't sound like a plan. Are you guys sure that you have Googled all the appropriate places. I can't believe that there is no interest in IW reenacting on the east coast!!

PS Keogh, over on the Association forum, would be a likely candidate, and probably knows a few other guys as well. Just a thought.

Well, actually I am all tied up mainly in Civil War stuff. The Indian Wars (although it was my first reenactment time period as I am originally from out West) would now be only an 'extra', just for something diffrent. Most of the folks who do Indian Wars in the east are like me--in that they also do Civil War, and thus make a lot of the CW events. So we are active back here, but just in earlier uniform.
