The photographs of the Cheyenne/Arapaho delegation which went to Washington in 1873 are well known and often published. Most of the delegates photographed by W. H. Jackson were identified. This is obviously another photo from that series that I never saw identified. At the Smithsonian website the man is labeled as "Chief Ouray´s son" (who was a Ute), but I don´t think this can be right. The inscription on the photo says "Arapaho", but nothing else. Who is it? Thank you Dietmar

Well, he has some similarity on his face with Ouray (at least with this pic of Ouray): Though clothes are more Arapaho...but that dont prove anything I guess since it is a studio picture...

I dont mean that he would be Ute either, I just meant that there is some similarity in the faces of him and Ouray...since you mentioned Ourays name...
