Harney's Peak

A great experience for those in a bit of shape is to hike or ride up to the top of Harney's Peak in the Black Hills. At the time I did this, we were able to rent horses for a half day trip at the Mt. Rushmore KOA campgrounds. The views of the Black Hills from the top of the peak were magnificent.

My son and I hiked it in 2000. AFTER the hike we went horseback riding. The next day when I woke up, I thought I was paralyzed. ;D
