This thread started out with a testimonial site and ends up with 'change' and 'snow'. I love this website!
Hey, crzhrs, If you had been born and bred (Bab) in MONTANA- you would LOVE snow ! We measured snow in feet, not inches !
And Markland, I now live in the state where Nags Head and Corolla are, and I long for the Montana snow! It way too hot down here for me !!! Roundup, here I come !!
Regards, Bab

Wait until the first day of summer-it should be sometime next week following the half-day of spring-when you get 96 degree days coupled with 98% humidity; not to mention the horse, yellow and just plain old "biting" flies along with mosquitoes, no see'ums, gnats and worst of all, damned Yankee tourists! Be good, Billy

Markland, "damned Yankee tourists" ! You can say that again. I moved here from New Jersey, so I lived with those damned Yankees. And I must say, the slower pace down here works for me ! Some days I feel like I am in 'La-La Land' rather than 'Beulah Land'! But it's not bad. Since I am a country (western) girl, it's a good fit for me. Thanks. Bab

Montana (aka, North Carolina)--
You don't need to start a new thread every time you post. Just click onto the thread name beneath the last poster & it brings you right to where you want to go. Diane designed this site beautifully.
Best wishes, Fred.

Okey, Grand Master Fred, I definately appreciate your help. Not only am I new to this website, I am new to computors so I still have a mountain of things to learn. By the way, Mr. Fred, Please don't change my moniker from Montana to North Carolina ! I havn't been down here long enough to have a love for the place, but I am working on it. There are no mountains in this place, so I'm having to paint a mountain on my barn to make me feel at home ! Thanks again !

I thought the Smokey Mts. were in North Carolina. I believe the highest peak in the east is in North Carolina . . . and I was on it. You can actually drive to the top.
PS: NH has the highest Mt. in the Northeast . . . Mt. Washington . . . the strongest wind ever recorded happened there . . . plus many feet of snow in the White Mts.
I live in the southwest part of the state . . . the Monadnocks (high elevation with decent size mountains) where we get more snow than other areas in our zone.
The past few winters have been devoid of the usual snow . . . so when I say we are getting a 12 inch snowstomr . . . that's big compared to what we use to get.
Don't get me wrong. Snow can be beautiful and there is always snowshoeing, X-country skiing, or just trekking through the woods.
However, I am an avid gardener and always look forward to planting time. Actually my gardening never stops . . . it's year-round. We have greenhouses!
PS: I've been in Montana . . . not summer but in the fall. It is quite beautiful, but so are many places throughout the country . . . as long as we don't trash it.

Fred, Oops! It sure didn't take me long to goof up. I called you Grand Master, when it should have been Grand Expert. I apologize and did not mean that remark in a derrogatory way, I was trying to be respectful and appreciative. Hope you didn't take it the other way. I will shut my big mouth now. (But thanks anyway for the correction. I appreciate it)

Montana--
No apologies are necessary, please. None at all. I have no idea what I'm called except for @#$%^&*(), and Diane deletes that stuff regularly.
And if I offended you by calling you NC rather than MT, sorry. It could have been worse. I could have called you SW FL. Or worst of all, NY. My God, imagine that! It's nice to have you here, however. I really like your enthusiasm. I hope it is maintained.
Best wishes, Fred. (from NY, currently a resident of SW FL). Sigh!
