If you are descended from Dear Old Abigail, aren't you also descended from Dear Old John? Yup. That's two Presidents in my lineage, beat that! According to my mother, we also trace back to the original Mayflower Moving Company, and on my dad's side, we've got some Texas Ranger and Blackfoot (or is it Blackfeet?) Lakota in us. We're all over the place.

I think you and Leyton are Kissing Cousins! That's quite a lineage, Crab. I'm impressed!

Diane-- And on top of everything, we have two cats: Abigail and Quincy. We used to have a Wednesday as well, but she left us for the hunting grounds in the sky ... My great-great grandmother's name was Saville Adams Graham. She's the connection, from what my grandmother told me after she learned I had to do a report on John Adams in second grade. Haven't done much research since ... LMC

algonquin in the paternal line as well as Howards. Shipbuilders in the maternal line -- Gammage and they are still building ships there. They go back to about the 14th century. Anything in between I haven't discovered yet.

Crab-- Though both the Adams' presidencies faced some tough challenges, I can't agree with you more ... however, looking back now, I don't think George HW Bush was all that bad (despite his attempts to be this conservative he really wasn't). His son is an entirely different matter ... one either loves him or hates him. The man inspires passion, that's for sure. Which one of the Adams' offspring are you descended from? Have you ever seen The Adams Chronicles? It was on PBS when I was still in high school; but it may be avaliable from somewhere like Netflix. Regards, LMC

If I am not mistaken, Abigail. So the connection starts with John's wife.

The Swiss delegations says that this DVD is full of errors and lies about the battle.
It's almost as if no historian had ever discussed the battle.
Mister James Welch doesn't care about historical facts and even asks an old grandmother to talk about Custer.
Price : 19 $ Value : 0.5 $

I know you think that any book that defends Indians is all lies . . . that's your opinion . . . but it's a shame that you are so blind to even consider the other side.

What other side ? This book - and documentary - are pure lies.
Lakota Noon is a book full of Indian testimonies and Michno knows much more than Welch. Hardorff, Marquis, Camp, Myers.... Here's people who knows their subject and don't want to disinform people like Welch does.
Welch is a PC liar and, as Michno shows in Lakota Noon, his whole story of Little Bighorn depends mostly on Whites testimonies

You say Welch's book is full of Indian testimony and is all lies. Yet you use Indian testimony when they support your views?
Which way is it gonna be?

No.
Welch is not full of Indian testimonies. He has some - he just chosed the one which were talking about rout and retreat of Custer's men - and most of his book is based on Whites testimonies. It's obvious : he said that Gall charged Reno. Gall wasn't in the timber and did little in the battle.
