Try Amazon. It is available in a few formats. It's a fairly short piece.

They do come up on ebay from time to time. In fact, I've bid on original Marquis editions from the 30s a couple of times, only to lose the auction in a flurry of last minute bids.

Is Marquis' stuff that good? or is it just more lop-sided opinion back-up by skewed testimony? I really don't know. I have nothing by him, other than what appears to be an original pamphlet titled, Which Indian Killed Custer?-- Custer Soldiers Not Buried. Or am I better served with Graham's work? Every time I look at my bookshelf, I find another copy of a Graham book I already have. A year ago, I discovered the The Custer Myth I just bought was the same as the one I already had, and this morning, lo and behold, my paperback copy of The Story of the LBH: Custer's Last Fight, is the same as the hardcover edition I had purchased previously.
I guess that means a cataloguing day. Now all I have to do is to remember not to call Richard Upton more than once about ordering new editions. I am beginning to think that half my books are dupes.
I don't even know when the thing was printed, but it had to have been after 1935, because it mentions Marquis' death. There is a 1933 "copyright" on the cover, along with a sticker: "Price 35 Cents." Neato! Then, above, penciled in, $25.00. Better than my stock account!
Best wishes, Fred.

Alibris has some good deals on Marquis. $1.99 and up.... www.alibris.com/booksearch?author=thomas+marquisI think Marquis, Camp and others just wrote what was told to them. There were no guidelines at the time for LBH research. They never would have thought their work would be so scrutinized and besides, they were hearing first hand accounts in many instances and who could argue with that? Marquis's books are interesting though.

I always have delightful phone conversations with Richard Upton, but they tend to be quite expensive...

Some of us (well, maybe just me) suspect she may have played a more active part than she lets on. Take a look at this: www.tuellpioneer.com/chiefkate.htmlGreat picture, isn't it!

I've seen the photo of KBH in her "warriors" outfit. She never stated in any of her accounts that she was a warrior or took part in any of the fighting.
She did mention other women who fought such as Buffalo Calf Road Woman who took part in the Rosebud and LBH battles. Of course BCRW has stirred some controversy about her being the one who inflicted a wound/blow to Custer.

Just reread the Marquis account last night. She was a facinating woman. Very militant for her times, but NDN society seems to have accepted her individuality. I noticed she was in her late '20's at the time of the LBH, but oddly we hear no mention of a husband. And her insistance on all the suicides! While we know it's not true, I wonder why she felt compelled to dwell on them and in such numbers! She knew Meotzi (Monahsetah) well. Elizabeth, if you've read that book could you give a quick review?

Sorry, I haven'tread the book -- for the not-very-respectable reason that I think she's lying through her teeth. ("What, me? Us poor little Cheyennes? Kill anybody? Heavens, no, they all killed themselves, we had nothing to do with it.") I'm afraid I've only read the excerpts. But personally, from those at least, I think she was having a quiet laugh at Marquis' expense.
No way to prove it, of course, but I'd be very surprised if she wasn't a warrior.

Me too, Elizabeth. She's obviously spinning tales. But when talking of other warriors' engagements she's incredibly graphic describing a beheading, etc. She's a strange one alright.
